Adrianna Barkey

This is Mrs. Adrianna Barkey's second year to serve as advisor to Between the Lines. This year is her ninth year teaching in the St. Clair County School System in the field of secondary English / language arts. Mrs. Barkey earned her bachelor's degree from Jacksonville State University, and her master's degre from the University of Alabama. In addition to sponsoring the magazine, she currently teaches standard and honors English 11 at MHS and serves as head of the school's English department. She resides in Leeds, AL with her husband Joshua and son, Preston.

Rachel Nichols

Rachel Nichols is a student teacher from Jacksonville State University, teaching and learning under the supervision of Adrianna Barkey. Ms. Nichols received her bachelor's degree from JSU in music and is now working toward a master's degree in education. After completing her time at Moody High School, Ms. Nichols plans to teach high school English.

Editor-In-Chief:

Yates Boykin 

This is Yates Boykin's second year serving as the Editor-in-Chief for Between the Lines. He is a Senior this year.  He plays basketball for MHS and he enjoys plaing the violin. He plans to go to college, but he has not yet decided a major.

Layout Editor:

Cobi Boykin

Cobi Boykin is the Layout Editor for Between the Lines. He is a Junior at MHS and plans to go to college. He enjoys the piano, movies, and photography. Cobi's role is essential to the publication of the magazine.

Poetry Editor: 

Karlye Burson

Karlye Burson claims the title of Poetry Editor for Between the Lines. She is a Senior at Moody High School. She plays basketbal, loves her cousins, and plans to go to Samford University to study Nursing. She plans to become a traveling international nurse. Her concentrated work ethic is wital to the success of the magazine.

 Prose Editor/ Website Editor:

Vincent McNeeley

Vincent McNeeley serves as the Prose Editor and Website Editor for Between the Lines. He is a Senior at Moody High School. He has a passion for technology and along with managing Between the Lines website he is the online chair for the Relay for Life of Leeds and Moody. He plans on attending Georgia Tech University to study either computer science or architecture.

Art Editor:

Hannah Martin 

Hannah Martin is the Art Editor for Between the Lines. She is a Senior at Moody High School. She is a captain for the Moody Blue Diamonds Danceline and the publicity/ historian officer for the band. She plans to go to the Savannah College of Art and Design to study art. Her keen eye for art is a huge asset to the magazine.

Art Assistant:

Noah Bates 

Noah Bates is the featured artist in the upcoming issue of Between the Lines.. Noah has done graffiti and urban art for four years, and has always had an interest in many for of art. He likes to use his art to send messages to the viewer. Along with being an artist Noah is the lead vocalist for his band Never See Death. Noah plans to continue to follow his passion for art in the future.

Photography Editor:

Colt Freeman 

Colt Freeman carries on the duties of Photography Editor for Between the Lines. He hopes to be enrolled at UAB this time next year. In his spare time he hangs out with friends and travels to interesting places. 

Music Editor:

Nathan Dodd

 Nathan Dodd is the Music Editor for Between the Lines. His passion lies in God and music. After high school he plans to pursue a career in the music industry.

Jay Freeman

Jay Freeman is a newcome to the MHS Between the Lines staff. Jay is an award-winning bass guitar player who wishes to be a bass guitar virtuoso. His talents and innovative ideas are vital to the success of the magazine.

Business Manager:

Kelsey Smith 

Kelsey is the business manager for Between the Lines. Kelsey is a Sophomore this year. She contributes  in multiple ways to help the magazine reach completion. She plans on attending Jacksonville State University after completing high school. There she plans on achieving her master's degree in Elementary Education.

Support Staff:

Emily Shackleton

Emily is a support staff member for Between the Lines. Emily is a Senior this year, after high school she plans on going to college to study phycology. Afterwards she plans on becoming a child phycologist.

CJ Isbell

CJ Isbell is a support member of Between the Lines. He is a Senior at MHS and plans to go to UAB to get his Master's degree in music technology. He is an active youth leader. He plays in a pop / punk band called Somebody Houston, and plays guitar for his your worship band at his church.

Andrew McGinnis

Andrew McGinnis is a new staff member to the literary magazine. He is a Senior at Moody High School. He plays the clarinet and is very active in the musical community. Montevallo is his chosen college and his hopes to get a music performance degree.

Kevin Butler is a Junior at Moody High School. He serves as a support member of the magazine. His humor, imagination, and insight are beneficial to Between the Lines.
