Moody High School's literary magazine, Between the Lines, is an award winning publication that is currently the only literary magazine in the St. Clair County, Alabama school system. The magazine has been awarded numerous honors since its conception in 2005. In 2007, the magazine received the Highest Award in Alabama from the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE).
The publication has consistently received a Superior Rating from the University of Alabama Scholastic Press including individual category award winners in poetry, fiction, art and photography. In addition, the publication has received Gold Medal Award(s) from the Columbia University Scholastic Press in New York, New York. The magazine publication process includes, but is not limited to, the development and layout of prose, poetry, art, music, photography, and computer publication skills.
